Are you stocking your fridge right?

As long as I can remember my mom’s fridge and pantry were always full, to the point of falling out! Any day of the week she could feed 20 persons and come up with an amazing and healthy menu to boot!

I’m not saying we have to do the same (far, far from it!), but the way we fill our fridges is very important to the way we eat.

I usually always stock my fridge with:

veggies: broccoli, mushrooms, asparagus, tomatoes, eggplants, zucchini, green onion, red and green peppers, carrots and any vegetable of the season, ie pumpkin in October.

herbs: fresh parsley, dill, basil.

grated cheese: mozzarella, parmigian, cheddar or any other cheese

-Feta cheese for salads

-Ruccula, baby spinach, and any other kind of greens



-cream for cooking

-sun dried tomatoes, home made pesto paste (or ready made, no need to be Julia child here!)

-And lots of fruits , better of season, but since we are not living on the Mediterranean, any fruit will do!

-Low fat yogurt and milk of course

-Cranberry juice is a staple at my house (will let you in on a story another time!)

Having already these products in your fridge will give you a healthy menu for the week!
