What is OliveLifestyle you would ask yourself, and why should you follow it? Well let me tell you a bit about myself and my lifestyle..

I am 42 years old, a mother of 4 beautiful children, of Mediterranean descent (Italian and Lebanese), and living newly in Canada. Yes it is a long way from the warm sun, blue sea and the slow pace!

Having lived almost all my life on the Mediterranean, moving to North America was a kind of culture shock; the eating habits, the lifestyle, the traditions….Don’t get me wrong, I love it, and I think Canadians are the nicest people by far, but it’s the total opposite of what I was used to.

People tell me I look 10 years younger than my age, why? Because of my lifestyle, my diet, and my outlook on life. That is what I will be sharing with you (and a few of my Italian mamma’s recipes!), tips on how to stay healthy, young looking and full of energy, tips on beauty, enjoying your home, slowing down and enjoying being yourself!

Healthy weight, a long life, and a happy disposition; sounds like a pretty good package, huh? According to newly published research, the key to all three may be as simple as following a Mediterranean diet.

We all know that eating healthy prevents diseases, offers you a longer and healthier life. Why are there so many obese and overweight people in America? It’s due to their diet, their meal size, their activity habits, and of course the media influence that promotes all these fast , frozen foods that you think will make your life easier!

What I learned living here in Canada, is that you don’t have to live on the Mediterranean to live the Mediterranean life, if I can do it, for sure you can do it!
